Meet the Artist: Black Zodiac Prints

Ryan Downs is the artist behind Black Zodiac Prints. He created Black Zodiac Prints to bridge a gap he discovered in the ethnic representation in astrology.

As a fan of the zodiac, Ryan noticed a lack of artwork portraying ethnic characters (fictional or otherwise) in alignment with their signs.

He began the series as a way to bring the artwork that he wanted to see into the world, starting with some of his favorite past and contemporary R&B female singers and songwriters. The series is ever expanding to include more black authors, artists, superheroes, leaders, and more.
