Mark Puente's "El Corazón" is inspired by the traditional Mexican Lotería card of the same name. This laser-cut wall art is available with a red heart and turquoise center or with a turquoise heart and red center. A keyhole design on the back makes for easy hanging of this tactile piece of modern folk art, with just a single nail.

  • Austin-based artist, Mark Puente, grew up in Guatemala and has always been inspired by images of Dia de los Muertos and folk art from around the world.  His pen and ink illustrations are transformed into colorful engravings, which have been laser-cut and etched from milk-paint finished wood and other media. Mark works out of MakeATX in Austin, Texas and is supported by his wife, Amy Exah, who assists the creative process and the business side of Nailivic Studios.
